FAQs

What kind of countertops should I get?

Every material has it Pro’s and Con’s. Granite or dolomite for example, does provide a more natural look but may be more susceptible to staining. Quartz may be a better option in some cases but some find it to have a slight synthetic look and is not an option for outdoor projects because of the adhesives used to bind the material together. consulting a representative to address your concerns would be best to help decide which would be the best option for you.

Can you repair or service Granite?

Although dense or hard material, it is common to find that over time your countertop needs repair from wear and tear. The best option would be to consult with a technician so that we may be able to access the situation, and provide the best solution. If it is a an issue that can be “repaired” Bella Granite would coordinate with you to have the issue resolved in a timely manner.

What is the difference between Granite and Quartz?

Granite is a purely mined stone meaning a Granite slab is 100% natural. Because it is a natural stone the porosity and density of granite may vary from one variety to another. Quartz on the other hand is composed of a percentage of mined quartz ( ranges from 90-94%) and mixed with resins and adhesives to bind it together. Because it is an engineered product, it is a virtually poreless and denser material than a purely natural stone.

I’ve found something I like, but you don’t seem to have it in stock?

Not a problem. we do full in-house fabrication and installation, which means that we could have any type of slab delivered to our warehouse and fabricated for you.

Are Granite/Quartz countertops Maintenance free?

Nothing is indestructible but stone surfaces such as granite, marble or quartz are dense materials that require very little maintenance. while Granite should be sealed once a year ( may be different depending on sealant manufacturer) most granite experts as well as quartz manufacturers alike would agree that cleaning with mild soap and water should suffice.

Do you provide additional services?

Bella granite is primarily a countertop store but we also offer additional services such as tile installation or tile services, and cabinet services as well.
